I degenti di un manicomio, sette relitti umani dimenticati sulla cima di un monte sperduto, sette reietti di un paese reietto ai margini della nuova Europa Felix, guariscono quasi miracolosamente quando uno di loro, ex generale dell'Armata Rossa, decide di inquadrarli fra le fila del nuovo esercito europeo e di marciare alla volta di Strasburgo. Europa come casa comune, come redenzione, o forse come terapia psichiatrica? Fantasia e ironia caratterizzano un punto di vista "dall'interno" sulla guerra, o meglio sul complesso rapporto fra Europa e Balcani, visto, appunto, dai Balcani. Hristo Boytchev e uno degli autori bulgari piu rappresentati e si sta affermando in tutta Europa come un autentico talento drammaturgico. L'originalita del testo e la fortuna che sta attraversando, non poteva non stimolare un'edizione italiana, che abbiamo voluto affiancare a quella realizzata a Praga dal Teatro Na Zabradli, proponendo al pubblico un confronto, due chiavi di lettura . La regia e il ruolo principale sono affidati a Toni Bertorelli,
attore e regista cresciuto alla scuola di Carlo Cecchi, particolarmente
attento agli autori contemporanei ed eccezionale interprete di caratteri
al limite fra tragedia e commedia. Lo spettacolo e realizzato con
la collaborazione del Premio Enrico Maria Salerno, orientato verso
la drammaturgia di impegno civile e assegnato nel ' 99 a Boytchev.
In the Italian edition the direction and the leading role are by
Toni Bertorelli, a product of the Carlo Cecchi school, who is an
exceptional player of parts on the border between tragedy and comedy.
The performance is staged with the support of the Premio Enrico
Maria Salerno, an award for socially-committed drama won by Boytchev
in 1999. |

The
British Council International Playwriting Award culminated at the
award ceremony at the Royal National Theatre on Thursday 13 March.
Labelled by the press as the "Playwrights Olympics", Harold
Pinter presented the prizes to the six regional winners, all of
whom were present at the reception, before announcing the overall
winner, the decision for which had only been agreed by the judging
panel an hour before.
The
play has been performed since 01.07 till 21.07 at the " CLOITRE
DES CARMES" by "Theatre de la Commune d'Aubervilliers"
